Every audit gives your site a Site health score and a list of issues to work through.
Site health
Open Overview in the sidebar. The ring shows Site health, a score from 0 to 100. It's the share of checked pages with no real problem: if 72 of your 100 checked pages are fine, Site health is 72. Each score has a word:
- Good: 90 or more.
- Fair: 50 to 89.
- Needs work: under 50.
If a critical problem affects your whole site, such as your home page not loading or your crawl rules blocking search engines, the score is capped at 49 until it's fixed. Under the ring you'll see how many pages we checked and whether the score went up or down since your last audit. Click the Site health tile to see how it's worked out and which pages count.
Fix first
Fix first on Overview lists the problems that would help most. The number next to each, like +4, is about how many points fixing it could add to Site health. Press See all issues for the full list.
The Issues list
Open Issues in the sidebar. Issues are grouped by how serious they are:
- Fix now: urgent problems.
- Should fix: worth fixing soon.
- Minor: small problems.
- Good to know: not part of your score.
Inside each group, issues with the most impact come first. The impact word (High impact, Medium impact or Low impact) weighs how serious the problem is, how much Google traffic the affected pages get and how many of your pages link to them. Connect Search Console to rank by real traffic.
Use the tabs To fix, Fixed, Ignored and Snoozed, the Area filter and Search issues to narrow it.
The issue panel
Click an issue to open its panel. It shows What we found, Why it matters, Where (the affected pages), How to fix and History. To fix it, see Apply fixes. At the bottom:
- Mark fixed: we check the affected pages again straight away and tell you the result.
- Snooze: hide it Until next audit, For a week or For a month.
- Ignore: pick a reason, such as It's on purpose, Not a problem for this site or We don't control these pages.
Each action shows a toast with Undo. To bring an issue back later, open it and press Reopen, Stop ignoring or End snooze. To act on several issues at once, tick their rows and use the bar that appears.
Issues on an older audit can't be changed. Press View latest to work on the current one.
What changed
What changed in the sidebar compares this audit with an earlier one. It opens with a sentence like "12 problems fixed, 3 new since your Oct 15 audit." Under it, "Compared with your … audit" names the audit it compares with. Press Change to choose Last audit, A month ago, Your first audit or Pick an audit…. Below, problems are grouped by what happened to them, plus pages added and gone. Changes show up after your second audit.
Pages
Pages lists every page we found, with its status and problems. Choose With problems to see only pages that need work, and click a page for its details. With Search Console connected, the Google column shows whether each page is Shown, Can appear or Can't appear in Google. Press Export to download the list.
If something goes wrong
- "Couldn't save. Try again.": your change to an issue didn't save.
- "Still checking": the audit is running, so more issues may appear.
